Alan is 72 years young and was born, raised and completed his education in Hamilton.
For the past 20 years he has been teaching English to Chinese children, mostly from 4 to 12 years of age, (although some as young as one), in Shanghai, China.
Through this experience, and reading hundreds of books to the kids, gave him the desire to begin to write himself on his return to New Zealand at the end of 2018. He found this desire to be true, as before he even finished his first book he had another one inside his head ready to be written also.
