This book represents the collective contributions of over 80 authors, who share their knowledge and perspectives about the Waikato lakes. Their voices reflect their relationships with the lakes, including deep cultural and spiritual connections, the views of local people growing up near lakes, restoration activities and ambitions for the lakes, and the insights and understanding of scientists that have studied the lakes.
The authors are mostly Waikato based, but the book includes contributions from people that now reside eleswhere in New Zealand and overseas.
