Judi Billcliff – 2013 runner up – Playcentre National Children’s Poetry Competition
Judi has been a drama teacher for many years, teaching in schools and privately. She has been involved in theatre and performing arts most of her life, as a teacher, writer, director, actor and adjudicator. Having taught oral language to children, she has an understanding of what works for them. Writing for her students was a natural progression and something she loves doing.
She lives in Hamilton with her husband Les. Her drama students, grandchildren, dog Rosie and life, give her inspiration to write fun rhyming poems.
